Follow the steps below to link your BigCommerce webshop to your Business Dashboard, so that your customers can easily collect points with every purchase

Get your verification information

To create savings transactions for your contacts, the system needs access to your orders. These rights must be created in your BigCommerce back office. Follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to your Big Commerce environment

  2. Once logged in, click on Settings in the side menu

  3. Scroll all the way down to the API category

  4. Go to API accounts , and at the top right go to create API account

  5. Give your API account a name. Use at least the following settings for the scopes:

    1. Customers: read only or modify

    2. Marketing: modify (for creating discounts)

    3. Orders: read only or modify

    4. Order transactions: read-only or modify

    5. Products: read only or modify

    6. Carts: read-only or modify

    7. Checkouts: read-only or modify

  6. A text file will now be downloaded containing your verification information. Open this file and go to Business Dashboard

Install the BigCommerce integration in the Business Dashboard

The final step is to enter the verification information you just obtained into your Business Dashboard.

  1. Log in to your Business Dashboard

  2. When you are logged in, click on 'Apps' and go to Integrations

  3. Find the BigCommerce integration in the list of integrations and click Install

  4. Enter all the information from the text file and click Start

πŸŽ‰ Your BigCommerce integration is now linked!

How does the BigCommerce integration work?

Orders

For every order created in your store, a savings transaction is created for the full order value. That includes tax and shipping costs.

Returns

If a customer wants to (partially) refund his order and the points, use the Refund promotion available in BigCommerce.

Please note: changing the order status to (partially) refunded does not do anything within the Business dashboard.

  • A full refund in BigCommerce will deduct all points from the original order from the contact's balance

  • In case of a partial refund in BigCommerce, the points will be deducted proportionately

Example: 50% of the total order amount was refunded, so 50% of the total points will be deducted)
