How to send a proper test campaign

How to fully test your marketing campaigns & emails

In the email designer you might have noticed a test email function in the top right corner. Unfortunately, this function is for visual outlook purposes only and will not generate links, vouchers and other important aspects of your email. If you would like to run a genuine test of your email campaign before sending it out, complete the following steps.

Navigate to ‘CRM’ and select ‘Lists’. Create a new static list.

Click on ‘Create’ and you’ll be sent to the overview page for the list. On the right hand side, you can see the ‘Active filters’.

Set the filter for ‘contact’‘directly select'‘any of the values’ and search & select the exact email addresses you want to include. Note: these emails need to already be in the system!

Click on exit button in the top right hand corner and then ‘Close list’ to apply the selected filters and create the list.

Once you have your contact list, go back to your email campaign under ‘marketing’ and then ‘campaigns’. Just make sure, in the ‘recipients’ step, you select your test list and then send out a proper campaign to your contacts. This will generate all aspects of the email campaign properly so you get a full idea of what the customer will experience!
