Setting up Rewards in Shopify Checklist

This is where we’re going to start with further set-up within Shopify.
After you’ve installed the Leat App in the Shopify dashboard, you can start adjusting the settings within.
For Loyalty Rules, these are set-up within your Leat Dashboard and then sent to Shopify. Within Shopify you then do the final configuration and make sure is is displayed properly for customers.
1. To create Loyalty Rules, navigate to your Leat Dashboard. From there it's Loyalty -> Rules to create new rules, or adjust existing ones.
2. Once you've set-up your Loyalty Rules in Leat, the final configuration within Shopify needs to be done. Navigate to the Leat app within the Shopify dashboard. Then click on Loyalty Program.
3. The active rules that you created before are already there, such as the earning rules for points, for a celebration or for someone’s birthday. To visualize these rules for your customer(s), you'll need to Add Earn Rule.
It is very important to enable an Earn Rule (€1 = 1 point, for example), in the example below it's called 'Place an order'.
This to ensure that customers earn points on orders placed via Shopify.
4. To further configure your rules, you can click on them and edit the settings for each rule individually.
5. To add a new rule, we can scroll down in in our overview and press the grey-black ‘Add earn rule’ button.
You can consider giving away points for social media follows, or posting a review, signing-up for a newsletter. These points will be awarded based on those specific actions.
Loyalty Rewards for Shopify
Loyalty rewards are also set-up within your Leat dashboard, and are then sent to Shopify. Within Shopify you can set-up rewards in the tab Loyalty Program and they are placed underneath the Loyalty Rules.
Before we start, let us make sure we’ve set-up the reward within your Leat Dashboard correctly. Navigate to your rewards within your Leat Dashboard.
Make sure that for each reward, the “Can be redeemd upfront” option is turned On. Do not leave the time-limit empty, but set it to a large amount of days (such as 1000).
Then we can start configuring in Shopify.
Find your set-up rewards under Pending Configuration.
These rewards need to go through a final set-up, where you’ll have to specify what type of reward we’re dealing with.
Once that has been done, you can further adjust the settings of the reward. The points needed for a reward are set within the Leat Dashboard, but some settings can be adjusted within Shopify. Such as combination options, minimum purchase requirements, and active dates.
