Step 1: Create a Business Profile in Leat
First, create a new Business Profile for the location in your Leat dashboard.
Go to:
Settings → Business Profiles → Add Profile
Enter the details of the new location and save the Business Profile.
Step 2: Sync the Lightspeed Integration
Once you've created the Business Profile, go to:
Apps → Integrations → Lightspeed K-Series
Open your existing Lightspeed integration and navigate to the Sync tab.
Run a new sync. This retrieves the latest information from Lightspeed and allows the newly added location to become available within the integration.
Step 3: Link the New Location
After completing the sync, navigate to the Locations tab within the Lightspeed integration.
Find the new Lightspeed location and link it to the corresponding Business Profile you created in Leat.
Make sure you select the correct Business Profile so transactions from the new Lightspeed location are registered under the correct location in Leat.
Step 4: Ask Lightspeed to Enable Real-Time Notifications
Once the location has been linked, Lightspeed needs to enable Real Time Notifications for the new Business Location ID.
Contact Lightspeed K-Series Support at [email protected] and send them the following request:
Hi,
Could you please enable Real Time Notifications to be sent to Leat (Piggy)?
Name of integration: Leat (Piggy)
Business Location ID(s): [Enter the Business Location ID(s)]
Notification URL:
https://api.integrations-service.leat.com/api/apps/k-series/v1/notifications/[YOUR_ACCOUNT_ID]
Condition to be added:
this.notificationType == 'CLOSE'
Thank you!
Make sure you replace the Business Location ID(s) and account-specific ID in the Notification URL with the details for your own account.
Step 5: Add the Web Extension to Your Lightspeed Menu
Next, add the Leat web extension to the Lightspeed menu so staff at the new location can easily access it from the POS.
In the Lightspeed back office, go to Menu Management → Menus and open the menu where you'd like to add the button.
Under Main Screens, click Add.
Give the menu item a clear name so staff understand what it's used for, such as Loyalty, Rewards, or Members. You can also style the button to your preference.
Under the new menu item, click Add button and select Web extension from the dropdown.
Select the checkbox for the Leat web extension you've created and click Add 1 button.
Finally, click Upload and reload devices.
Once the devices have reloaded, the new button should be available on the Lightspeed POS.
Step 6: Test the New Location
Once all the steps above have been completed, we recommend performing a test transaction at the new location.
Scan a test customer's Wallet Pass, complete an order, and then check your Leat dashboard to confirm that:
The transaction has been received by Leat.
The transaction is linked to the correct Business Profile.
Points are being awarded correctly.
The Leat web extension can be opened from the Lightspeed POS.
If everything is working as expected, your new Lightspeed K-Series location is ready to use with Leat.
If transactions aren't appearing or are being linked to the wrong location, contact Leat Support and provide the location name and an example transaction so we can investigate further.
