How to create an Email

Access Email Editor:

  • Email design can be located under ‘Marketing’.

  • Start by creating a new email, either in ‘campaigns’ or ‘automated emails’

  • Next, choose a template for your email or start from scratch.

Edit Email Structure:

To edit the structure of an email field, navigate to ‘Structure’ on the right side. This is the foundation of your email design as it determines the overall look and positioning of various content blocks. This will determine the positioning of text, images, GIFs and other content you would like to include in the email.

Add email content:

On the right side of your screen under the ‘Content’ tab, you can see a list all media and design elements that can be implemented. Simply drag a drop these elements into your email.

Add loyalty features:

On the left hand side, you can find the various features and loyalty elements tied to the system. IMPORTANT: adding any additions from the left side to emails like credits or giftcards will mean that every time the email goes out, it will award the recipient with the incentive. You can also find tags for including customer data in an email (see more info here).

Edit General Email Design:

To edit the general design of your email such as the background color, go to the ‘Settings’ tab. Here, you can edit additional aspects of the overall email design, such as background color, the text font, button colours, preview text and much more.

Adjusting and Configuring Specific Email Fields:

To adjust any email content such as text, images, blocks, background, buttons, or any other feature within the email designer, click on the respective block and then refer to the settings on the right hand side of the screen.

Tips & Tricks:

Always start by building the base structure of your emails. Think about what media/text you want to include and where. Keep the text short and to the point. Use images and colours that pop and keep the customer interested! Give some thought to what the email is trying to achieve. Keep your emails visually consistent with with your overall brand identity.

If it is an automated system message, keeping everything on brand but nice and short is probably ok. If this is a newsletter, it might be good to include an incentive like a Voucher (see more info here) to keep customers subscribed. Think about the recipients of the email and which customer segments they belong to (see more info here). How can it be tailored to them?
