How to configure the design of your widget

How to design your widget to match your branding

Written by Miles Zunker

If you're using the widget from the dashboard, it is important to note that much design and configuration is done in the dashboard itself. Even some configuration like the position on the webpage or open/closed by default. Always go through the entire 'styling' of the widget designer, to make sure you don't miss anything!

To design the outlook of your widget, follow the steps below:

  1. Proceed to 'Apps' then ‘widget’ and then select your widget or create a new one.

  2. You will then be taken to the design page of the widget. Individual information fields and elements can be managed on the right hand side, with page navigation on the left.

  3. Use the ‘styling’ tab to manage the visual outlook and design of your widget. Here, you can choose if your widget will open by default when a customer visits the webpage. You can also choose the positioning of your widget on the web page itself.

Other styling settings include the icon design, pop-up messages & titles, fonts, color schemes and positioning of your widget.

  4. Under the ‘content’ tab, you can set up the different content to be displayed. Drag and drop the desired widget elements from the right hand side into your design.

  5. For widget elements that require further configuration, click on them to find the settings on the right.

Make sure you configure the Login email so your customers can retrieve a login link or login code to access the Contacts Portal. If your registration page is active, you should also configure the Registration email for new sign-ups.

Both emails can be configured under Settings → System Emails.
