Gift cards can be added to Apple or Google Wallet using a tag in the gift card recipient email. This offers a more convenient alternative to scanning QR codes from the email itself, and the design of the card can be customised.
First, add a design by navigating to ‘apps’ and then ‘wallet passes’.
If you don’t already have a gift card design, you can create one here by selecting ‘new wallet pass’. Make sure you choose the gift card type!
Once you’re design is complete, navigate to your gift card recipient email under ‘marketing’ and then ‘automated emails’. Locate the ‘giftcard recipient email’ and select ‘edit’.
In the email editor, on the left hand side under ‘tags’ search for add to wallet and select the gift card add to wallet tab.
Once you have clicked on the ‘add to wallet’ tag, it will copy to your clipboard.
After adding the “Add to Wallet” tag to your email, you’ll need to link it to the correct pass type.
Click Wallet pass button → Configure Wallet Pass → select Gift Card
