Gift cards can be added to Apple or Google Wallet using a tag in the gift card recipient email. This offers a more convenient alternative to scanning QR codes from the email itself, and the design of the card can be customised.
First, add a design by navigating to Settings → Apps → Wallet Pass.
If you don’t already have a gift card design, you can create one here by selecting ‘new wallet pass’. Make sure you choose the gift card type!
Once your design is complete, navigate to Settings → System Emails. Locate Giftcard recipient email and click Edit email.
In the email editor, locate the Wallet Pass content block on the right-hand side and drag it into your email.
After adding the “Add to Wallet” tag to your email, you’ll need to link it to the correct pass type.
Click Wallet pass button → Configure Wallet Pass → select Gift Card
