How to set up a Tevalis integration

Integrating

First, reach out to ([email protected]) and formally request the integration. Specify if it is for loyalty, gift cards or both. Do this as soon as you can as Tevalis can take many business days to get back in touch.

Steps in Leat:

  1. First, go to 'Apps'->Integrations and then Cash Registers.

  2. Click on Link new register, fill out the appropriate fields and create.

  3. Click on the cash register you just created. Under the tab 'personal access tokens', you can create a new access token for this device with the button in the top right. Save this information on a document or notes page.

  4. This process needs to be repeated for each location that you have.

  5. Optional: If you’re using gift cards, proceed to store→giftcards→settings and also copy down the ‘internal value UUID’. This is the giftcard UUID

  6. The integrations team at Tevalis will request the register access token during set up. They will also request the giftcard UUID (if needed)

Configuring Rewards

If you’re using the loyalty integration you have 2 options for rewards. Some preparation is required via Tevalis first. Both types can then be configured after clicking a reward and proceeding to the ‘advanced’ settings. You can find the options below:

Free item Reward (just one item):

  1. Create a new item in Tevalis that costs zero currency.

  2. Make sure this item has a PLU (Important: the PLU is not the same as the product or item code. It usually needs to be generated manually via Tevalis first!)

  3. In the ‘advanced’ settings of your reward, enter the PLU in the ‘PLU’ field (there can only be one here) and select the reward type: ‘reward’

Discount Reward:

  1. Create a new discount for the desired value in Tevalis.

  2. Ensure this discount has a stock code.

  3. In the ‘advanced’ settings of your reward, enter the stock code in the ‘PLU’ field (there can only be one here) and select the reward type: ‘discount’
