In case you have multiple locations and use gift cards, you can set up settlements to see where values are upgraded and downgraded.
What are Settlements?
Settlements are literally settlements between multiple locations related to gift card value. If you have multiple locations as a business and use gift cards (both physical and digital), you can see required actions here. You can find where and when a gift card has been upgraded and/or devalued.
When having multiple locations, it is possible to purchase a gift card at location X and redeem it at location Y.
Where can I find Settlements?
Make sure settling is enabled for your gift card program under the 'settings' of the program. You can also choose a settling frequency (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Then you can follow these steps to view Settlements:
Go to Store>Giftcard (make sure the right program is selected) and then to Settlements
You will see an overview of reports at each frequency.
For each report, you will find several sources of information:
The settlements tab shows where, when, and by what amount a gift card was up- or downgraded
Under results you will find the financial information. That is, which location has accumulated b. a credit or debt with another location.
