Tiers are a great way to gamify your program and keep things fun & interesting for your customers. Using criteria of points collected over a customer’s lifetime, you can reward your most loyal customers with a special status. But remember, you also have to think about what comes with the higher tiers, so before you set them up think about what leveling means in your program!

Your tier criteria

You will find the instructions below that we recommend using a very specific attribute as entry citeria. The 'total credits recevied' attrribute is used as it only accounts for increases in a customer’s balance and does not lower their tier when using points for rewards. This is highly recommended and a proven success.

To change or set up loyalty tiers:

  1. Navigate to ‘Loyalty’

    • In your dashboard, navigate to ‘Loyalty’ and select ‘Tiers’ from the dropdown menu.

  2. Create a New Tier

    • Once on the page for tiers, select the button ‘New tier’.

    • Begin by configuring the tier name, description, and image.

    • Ensure that you always configure the highest tier first.

  3. Configure Terms

    • Click ‘Continue’ and select your terms.

    • Terms indicate what conditions a contact must meet to enter a certain tier.

  4. Set Minimum Points for a Tier

    • To configure a minimum amount of points for a tier, select ‘Add Filter group’.

    • Then select ‘Contact’ as the type of filter, ‘Attributes’ as the option, and ‘Total credits received’ as the attribute.

    • Select ‘greater than or equal to’ as the operator and then enter the total amount of points required for entry into that tier.

  5. Complete the Tier Setup

    • Click ‘Next’ to go to ‘Complete’. Your tier has now been created!

  6. Create Additional Tiers

    • To configure another tier, navigate back to ‘Tiers’ and follow the steps above.

Note: In the list view of your tiers, your highest tier should always appear at the top of the list.

Tier Benefits

Once your tiers have been created, you need to create the additional benefits or offers that come with a higher level. Some common examples are access to cheaper, better, or exclusive rewards. These are set up using visibility filters. A better point multipler is also very common that needs to be set up as a rule. Finally, since you can display the tier on the wallet pass it is also possible to have benefits for your tier directly on-site. Have them show their level at the shop to skip lines, get the best tables or get exclusive service options. Be Creative!!
