Installing the Lightspeed X-Series integration

First, make sure you are logged in on the Business Dashboard. From there, click on 'Apps' and go to Integrations. In the integration marketplace, look for the Lightspeed X-Series integration, then click Install.

Authenticate your Lightspeed account. Make sure the user completing the authentication has access to all items and discounts. It is recommended to use an administrator account with full store access rights, as limited permissions may cause issues during the installation.

Enter your store information. Fill in your store name, which is the part of your Lightspeed URL that appears before .retail.lightspeed.app. For example, if your URL is storename.retail.lightspeed.app, the store name you should enter is storename. After entering the store name, select the functionalities you want to enable for the integration.

Configure the integration by mapping your Lightspeed location to the correct Business Profile in Leat. This ensures that transactions and customer data are linked to the correct location within the platform.

Run the Data Sync. This step ensures that locations, items, and registers are properly synchronized between Lightspeed and Leat so the systems match correctly.

Complete the Health Check. The Health Check verifies that all components of the integration are functioning correctly. If the Health Check fails, it is usually due to user access rights, so make sure the authenticated user has administrator permissions.

If the issue persists, contact Leat Support. Once the Health Check passes, the integration is established. Finally, configure the Loyalty Earn Rules under Order Rules, as the Lightspeed X integration uses the Orders API.

Configuring Promotions & Rewards

For Rewards and Vouchers, the configuration of their behaviour is configured via the X-Series tab after clicking on the respective reward or voucher. This tab only becomes available after the Lightspeed X integration has been installed.

Different reward types can be configured depending on the promotion you want to offer:

  1. Free product: Set the type to percentage, the value to 100%, and select the correct product.

  2. Fixed discount: Set the type to fixed number, enter the € amount, and apply it to the entire order.

  3. Percentage discount: Set the type to percentage, enter the % value, and apply it either to the entire order or specific products.

Category discount: It is also possible to apply discounts to specific product categories.

X-Series Gift Cards Configuration

No additional configuration is required for Gift Cards if this feature was enabled during the installation of the integration.

If Gift Cards were not enabled during installation, you can still activate them. Navigate to the installed Lightspeed X integration in the Leat Dashboard and select Reconfigure to enable the feature.
