Redemption on the the Toast POS
It is important to keep in mind that the right criteria have to be met, for the reward to become visible on the POS. A customer needs to have the right amount of points, or have received the voucher.
It is also important to keep in mind that if you create a Free Coffee reward, or voucher, it can only be redeemed if a linked item is present in their order. If you order a lemonade, your Free Coffee reward will not be available.
Configuring Promotions & Rewards with the Toast Integration
To set up vouchers and rewards using the Toast integration, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to your Reward
Click on Loyalty and then select Rewards.
Select the promotion you want to configure.
Once inside the Reward, click on Toast on the left-hand side.
Step 2: Configure Reward, or voucher options
Once you open the Toast configuration, you'll see these configuration options:
In this example, we offer a 10% discount on the entire order.
Within each reward, and voucher, you will have the following configuration options:
Name
This is the name of the reward as it appears on the POS.
Type
To indicate the type of reward, or voucher, this is: a choice has to be made on what the type is. There are a few different optionsSingle Item Free
To create a single item reward that is completely free
Single Item Percentage
Apply a percentage discount to a single item
Single Item Absolute
Deduct a fixed amount from a single item
Single Item Fixed Price
Set a fixed price on a single item
Multiple Items Free
To create multiple items that are completely free in this reward
Multiple items Percentage
Apply a percentage discount to multiple items
Multiple items Absolute
Deduct a fixed amount from multiple items
Multiple Items Fixed Price
Set a fixed price to multiple items
Entire Order Percentage
To give a percentage discount on the entire order
Entire Order Absolute
To give a fixed amount discount on the entire order.
Business Profiles
These are the business locations you want this reward to be available.
Once you have made a selection in the reward type, and given it a name, you can specify the settings for that specific reward type.
Each Reward Type will have their own specific settings, so you can finetune the behaviour of that specific reward type.
Settings for a Single Item (item free, item absolute, item fixed price)
Rewards that are for a single item, have the similar configuration settings:
Percentage Discount
To indicate the percentage to be discounted in this reward
Item Selection
To specify if we're picking a specific item, or an item as part of a categoryIf you pick Item: you'll be required to select which items are rewarded.
If you pick Category, you'll be required to select which categories an item can be rewarded from.
Item Picking Priority
Which item is picked first on the bill?
Choice between: first, cheapest, most expensiveEligibility
What orders are eligible for this order?
Choice between: All Orders and Only when order meets minimum amountIf Only when order meets minimum amount is selected, the minimum amount required for the reward to be redeemable is asked.
In this example, the reward is a Single Item Free reward where a minimum order amount of €50 (5000 cents) has to be met before the reward can be claimed.
Settings for Multiple Items (items free, items absolute, itemsfixed price)
Rewards that are for multiple items, have similar configuration settings:
Percentage Discount
To indicate the percentage to be discounted in this reward
Item Selection
To specify if we're picking a specific item, or an item as part of a categoryIf you pick Item: you'll be required to select which items are rewarded.
If you pick Category, you'll be required to select which categories an item can be rewarded from.
Maximum Items
The maximum amount of items that can be rewarded.Important: Always fill in a maximum item amount, don't leave it on 0.
Item Picking Priority
Which item is picked first on the bill?

What orders are eligible for this order?
Choice between: All Orders and Only when order meets minimum amountIf Only when order meets minimum amount is selected, the minimum amount required for the reward to be redeemable is asked.
In this example, the reward is for Multiple free items, where a minimum order amount of €50 (5000 cents) has to be met before the reward can be claimed. With a set maximum of 2 items that can be rewarded.
Settings for an Entire Order Percentage or Entire Order Absolute reward
Percentage Discount
To indicate the percentage to be discounted in this reward
Maximum Discount amount (in cents)
The maximum discount amount that this reward can apply, represented as a value in cents.
Eligibility
What orders are eligible for this order?
Choice between: All Orders and Only when order meets minimum amountIf Only when order meets minimum amount is selected, the minimum amount required for the reward to be redeemable is asked.
In this example, the reward is for an entire order percentage where a minimum order amount of €25 (2500 cents) has to be met before the reward can be claimed. And the maximum discount that this reward will apply is €20 (2000 cents).
